How we can help
If you were abused in an institution or setting that had a responsibility to keep you safe, you may be able to bring a civil claim. These claims are never only about compensation — for many people they are about being believed, holding an organisation to account, and moving forward.
We handle every enquiry sensitively and confidentially. You do not need to have all the details, documents or dates to speak to us. There is no obligation, and nothing you tell us goes further without your agreement.

Time limits
There are time limits for bringing civil claims, but the courts recognise that survivors of abuse may need many years before they feel able to come forward. Even where a significant time has passed, it is often still worth speaking to us so we can advise you on your individual position.
How claims are funded
Where we are able to act, we will explain the funding options available to you clearly and in writing before you commit to anything, so you understand any costs from the outset. We do not guarantee any particular outcome — every claim is assessed on its own facts.
